Bhubaneswar: The President of India Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and several prominent personalities have extended their wishes to the people on the occasion of the Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti and Odia New Year on Friday.
Taking to her Twitter handle, President Murmu wrote “The holy Pana Sankranti is being cultivated in Purpalli of Odisha in Harsholla. On this occasion, various Saraswat meetings are also organised in association with Panapanir Asar Sang. My sincere greetings and best wishes to my dear brothers and sisters of Odisha on this Oriya New Year.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on his Twitter handle, “Best wishes for Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti and Odia New Year. May the new year bring an abundance of happiness and good health. May all your wishes be fulfilled in the coming year.”
Odisha Chief Minister Patnaik wrote on Twitter, “My heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of the Holy Maha Bishuba Sankranti and the Orthodox New Year. With the immense mercy of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, this New Year brings new opportunities and possibilities for everyone.”
