Balasore: At least one person was killed and nine injured in two separate road accident cases in the district on Saturday.
The first case was reported from Bhandaripokhari where a truck ran over a car which led to the death of one person. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
Total four persons, seated in the car were injured in this incident.
The second mishap was took place at Trishalapur chowk where a truck coming from West Bengal rammed into a stationary truck. Five persons seated in the truck sustained injuries in the accident.
The victims, in both the accidents were shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital for treatment. Out of them, three have been referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Police have registered separate cases and seized the ill-fated vehicles. The body of the deceased person has been sent for autopsy.
