Cuttack: IPS officer Sudshanshu Sarangi on Monday took charge as the 54th Director of Odisha Fire Services Department.
The 1990-batch IPS officer was promoted to the post of DG a few days ago by the state government and last week he was posted as the Director of the Odisha Fire Services Department.
Dr Sudhasanshu Sarangi has worked efficiently as Commissioner of Police in the past. He came to the head office of the fire department in Cuttack at around 8.00 am today and took charge from the Acting Director Vinatosh Mishra.
He said that the Odisha Fire Service Department’s efficiency has earned a reputation in the country and it will be maintained in the coming days. Talking to the media, Dr Sarangi he explained his approach regarding the future course of action of the department.
