Bhubaneswar: Unidentified armed miscreants reportedly chased and hacked a youth to death with a sword in the Unit-I area of Bhubaneswar in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Kalia Nayak alias Sushant. He was a resident of a slum under Capital Police limits in the Smart City.
According to reports, Sushant was chased by four miscreants on the streets and later hacked to death with sharp weapons. Police suspect that the murder was a fallout of past enmity.
Sushant’s body was found with several injury marks lying in a pool of blood early this morning.
The miscreants fled the spot after committing the crime.
On being informed about the murder, the Capital Police reached the spot and started an investigation.
