Bhubaneswar: Director General of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mrutyunjay Mohapatra on Thursday was elected as one of the Vice Presidents of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
WMO tweeted about the development today evening. Two others were also elevated to the position of Vice President of the WMO.
They are, Eoin Moran, Director of Met Éireann from Ireland and Daouda Konate, Director of Meteorology of Cote d’Ivoire.
