Bhubaneswar: Two days after the horrific three-train crash that claimed 275 lives in Odisha’s Balasore, the Railway Board has recommended a CBI probe into the accident. The announcement was made by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday.
“Keeping everything in mind…whatever administrative information has been received so far…the Railway Board has recommended that further investigation be carried out by the CBI,” Vaishnaw told reporters.
The CBI will probe the circumstances under which the incident happened and who is responsible.
It is worth mentioning here that during his visit to the accident site on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that stern action will be taken against those found guilty.
