Bhubaneswar: Former Minister of Higher Education and Rairakhol MLA Rohit Pujari today said that he was not unhappy about being dropped from the Council of Ministers. Speaking to reporters following his removal from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Council of Ministers, Pujari said that he gave his best efforts as a Minister.
“The Chief Minister blessed me several times in the past. I served as the Deputy Chief Whip of BJD before becoming a Minister. I gave my best efforts. The Chief Minister probably expected more from me,” he said. Following this development, Atanu Sabyasachi has been given additional charge of the Department of Higher Education.
Pujari added, “I was newly inducted as a Minister, it was my first time. I have a lot to learn and will discharge any duty given by our Chief Minister and party president, to the best of my ability.”
