Puri: Security forces today conducted a mock drill in Puri town as part of the security exercise for the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
Personnel of Rapid Action Force (RAF) conducted the mock drill in front of the Singha Dwara (Lions Gate) of the Shree Jagannath Temple.
The RAF has been assigned the responsibility of the outer cordon of the chariots.
Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh, Second-in-Command of RAF Shailendra Singh and other senior officials of the RAF were present during the the exercise which was the spot rehearsal of the security arrangements for the Rath Yatra which will be celebrated on June 20.
