Bhubaneswar: The School & Mass Education Department has undertaken a significant initiative to strengthen teacher professional development and training in primary education. In a move that signifies the department’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of education, 108 teacher educators are being recruited by Department through OSSC.
Their services will be placed by the department in District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and Block Institutes of Education and Training (BIETs) across the state. The selection process for the position has been concluded by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission, and the chosen candidates will soon be issued appointment letters by the department.
The deployment of these highly skilled teacher educators will ensure the continuous professional development of primary teachers and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their profession.
The educators will work closely with the department to design and deliver effective training programs, conduct workshops and seminars, provide guidance on pedagogy and curriculum development, and foster a culture of innovation in teaching practices.
The deployment of these teacher educators marks a significant milestone in the mission to improve the quality of education by addressing the long-standing issue of vacant positions within the School and Mass Education Department.
