Bhubaneswar: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) result was announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday.
Among the states, Uttar Pradesh leads with the highest number of qualifying candidates i.e., 1.39 lakh, followed by Maharashtra with 1.31 lakh and Rajasthan with over 1 lakh qualified candidates.
This year, a total of 1184513 female candidates appeared for the NEET exam 2023, of which 1156618 appeared in the examination and of them, 655599 have passed the medical exam.
This year, a total of 902936 male candidates appeared for the NEET UG 2023, of which 881967 appeared in the medical entrance test and of them, 490374 have qualified.
56.21% of candidates who appeared in the NEET 2023 successfully passed the medical entrance exam. In the NEET UG 2023 results, the cut-off for general category candidates has increased from 715-117 last year to 720-137.
This time, the cut-off marks have increased as compared to the last two years. In the case of general candidates from 138 in 2021, 117 in 2022, and 137 in 2023, and for SC, ST, and OBC candidates, it has increased from 108 in 2021, 93 in 2022 to 107 in 2023.
