Bhubaneswar: The Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court, Parlakhemundi has issued Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) against three accused persons in former Parlakhemundi Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra death case.
The court has issued NBWs against Bidyabharati Panda, wife of deceased ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, Parlakhemundi Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sangram Keshari Behera and cook Manmath Kumbha.
In addition to that the court has ordered the three to appear before it on July 7.
On the other hand, the court has dismissed the plea seeking quashing of the case.
Notably, the court had served notices to the three accused Bidyabharati, Sangram and Manmath to appear before it. However, they had not appeared before the court.
ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra was rescued with 90% burns from his official quarter at Parlakhemundi on July 12, 2021. He was shifted to a private hospital at Cuttack as his condition was critical.
However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment on July 13.
