Koraput: In a tragic incident two minor boys drowned in a pond at Kanjana village under Lamtaput block in Koraput district today.
The deceased boys are siblings and have been identified as Papinder Kirsani (8) and Amit Kirsani (7).
According to reports, while Arjun Kirsani and his wife Laba Kirsani were working in the field, their two sons Papinder and Amit who were playing went missing.
After a frantic search locals saw the two kids floating in a pond nearby and rescued them. However, they were found to be dead.
A pall of gloom has descended on the village following the tragic incident.
