Bhubaneswar: An inmate of a de-addiction center in the capital city was found hanging in his room on Monday morning. According to reports, other inmates of the center – Koshish De-addiction Center at Nandan Vihar under Infocity police limits – first spotted the body of the youth, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, and informed the authorities.
On being informed, Infocity police reached the center and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have launched an investigation into the unnatural death with the help of a forensic team.
Police are trying to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident. As of now, it is not clear as to whether the youth committed suicide or it was a case of murder.
It is worth mentioning here that in November 2022, the body of another inmate was found at Koladiha Drug Rehabilitation Center on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The youth, Rajiv Srichandan was allegedly beaten to death.
