Balasore: Two people were killed by a train in the Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Saturday morning, while eight persons were injured in a road accident involving multiple vehicles.
Abdul Qadir from Paschim Champaran region of Bihar died after falling from the train near Sabira station. He was going to Visakhapatnam. In another incident, Harekrishna Pandav of the Nuasahi region of Manalpur area was run over by a train while he was crossing the railway tracks.
Meanwhile, eight people sustained varying degrees of injuries after a car, an auto-rickshaw, and a motorbike crashed near Pejagal Bridge on the Gandhichhak-Baliapal Road under Basta police limits this morning.
First, a car collided coming from Baliapal crashed with an auto-rickshaw, and then a motorbike coming from the opposite direction crashed with the car. The injured are undergoing treatment at a local medical facility.
