Bhubaneswar: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a woman was trampled to death by a tusker in Dengula village under Koida police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district in the early hours of Thursday.

According to reports, the tusked entered the village on Wednesday night in search of food. However, it went berserk as it could not find any paddy for consumption. Subsequently, the tusker broke a wall of a mud house and picked up a woman from the house.

All the while, her family members stood in awe and shock as the elephant banged the woman on the ground and crushed her under its feet.

Local villagers are panicked and shocked after the gruesome incident as the elephant is still in the village.
