Khurda: A man and his son died in a lightning strike in Chilika Lake in Odisha’s Khurda district on Sunday night. The victims have been identified as Bidhan Biswas and his son Uttam Biswas (30) from the Baliguda area in the district.
According to reports, the mishap occurred when Bidhan and Uttam went to Chilika Lake on Sunday for fishing. The bodies of the father-son duo were recovered from Kalijugeswar hills near Balugoan in Khurda district on Monday.
It is worth mentioning that Uttam had become a father of a baby girl just a day back and he and his father were on their way to their village to see the newborn.
As they did not return home on Sunday night, the family launched a search operation and located their bodies in a boat near Kalijugeswar hills on Monday morning.
