Balasore: At the Jaleswarpur Community Health Center in the Balasore district on Friday, a newborn boy’s parents allegedly sold him for Rs 10,000.

According to sources, a boy was born to Sushama Das at the Jaleswarpur hospital in the Bhograi block’s Taladi hamlet. But it was claimed that Sushama and her husband afterwards sold the infant for Rs 10,000 to another individual in Mayurbhanj district.

Later, with the assistance of CWC representatives, the police were able to save the infant. The mother of the infant disagreed with the claim that she had sold the child.

Prashant Rout, a representative of CWC, commented on the situation, saying, “We have arrived at Bhograi Police station. The IIC has been informed. Before the CWC, the child will be produced. There will be an investigation, and those found guilty will receive legal punishment.”
