Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Tuesday reviewed the current situation of Dengue across Odisha during a meeting with senior officials of the Health Department at the Lok Seva Bhavan here.
Principal Secretary of H&UD, Secretary H&FW, Municipal Commissioner, MD, NHM Odisha, and Director of I&PR were present at the meeting, apart from senior officials of the BMC.
The Chief Secretary took a note of the current situation and expressed his satisfaction on the measures undertaken by the Health Department. and BMC, to prevent Dengue. Despite increase of testing, the test positivity rate is low in comparison to the last year and the situation is under control, he observed.
Jena emphasised more on creating public awareness through IEC activities and instructed all concerned to be in readiness with blood, platelets and medicines to face all eventuality.
