Bhubaneswar: Train services between Tigiri and Laliguma in Koraput under the Waltair Division have been impacted as a result of the persistent rain in several parts of Odisha.
A boulder that fell on the railway rails connecting Bhubaneswar to Rayagada on Wednesday caused the East Coast Railway (ECoR) to cancel two trains and divert another. Mudslides are also mentioned in the reports.
The trains from Jagdalpur to Rourkela and from Rourkela to Jagdalpur have been cancelled for today, according to official sources. The Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express’s route has also been changed.
The engineering staff and a quick response team from Koraput flocked to the scene to evaluate the situation. It is important to note that Koraput has been receiving significant rainfall for the previous few days.
