Dhenkanal: Thirteen cows were killed in a lightning strike in Arda village in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Sunday.
According to reports, the cows were grazing in a field and some were sleeping under a tree. Suddenly, the weather changed and a bolt of lightning struck the cows and the tree killing them all.
The passersby first spotted the bodies of the cows and informed the villagers, who along with the owner of the cattle reached the spot and informed the local administration. The villagers are demanding compensation from the government to the owner for the loss.
