Four Friends Drown In Dam In Odisha’s Cuttack, One Goes Missing

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, four youths drowned in a dam near Maa Damadamani Shrine and one of them went missing in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.

The youth who went missing has been identified as Ansuman Nayak, a resident of CDA Sector 7 in Cuttack City.

According to reports, six friends from the Bidanasi area in Cuttack City had gone for an outing at the dam near Choudwar on Sunday morning. Four of them stepped into the dam water to take a bath. Incidentally, they slipped into the deep waters and drowned.

While three youths were rescued by their friends, Anusman went missing. His friends tried to pull him out of the water but failed.

As the news spread, police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and launched a rescue operation for the missing youth.
