Bhubaneswar: With the weakening of the low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, the intensity of rain across Odisha will be reduced during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted in its midday bulletin released on Thursday.
For the most part of the week, Odisha will experience light to moderate rain/thundershowers and dry weather will prevail over the districts of south Odisha.
The weather forecast for the next five days is as below:
Day 1: (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 06.10.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.
Day 2: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.10.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.
Day 3: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.10.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in a few places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 4: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.10.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 5: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.10.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Rayagada, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
