Bhubaneswar: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his shop at Nagpur Bazar while live streaming the incident on social media in the Gop area of Odisha’s Puri district. The incident occurred on Thursday night and the video of the act has gone viral.

The deceased has been identified as Sujit Sinha, a chemist from Bantaligan village in the Gop area.

The police are yet to ascertain the precise reason why the youth took the extreme step; it is suspected that he was frustrated over a family dispute.

After watching the tragic scene live on Facebook, family members of the deceased informed the police control room (PCR).

However, Sujit was already dead by the time the police arrived at the spot. The police reportedly recovered a note from the spot and are currently investigating the incident.
