Puri: Former Pipli MLA Judhistir Samantharay passed away on Monday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 72.
Samantharay had been ailing for the past few months and breathed his last in a private hospital on Monday morning.
People from all walks of life, including prominent politicians and people from his constituency, condoled the death of Samantharay.
Aside from representing Pipili in the Odisha Assembly from 1995 to 2000, Samantharay was the chairman of the Pipili block from 1984 to 1990.
