Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) on Monday said that they will announce their joint action plan on November 1.
Both the parties held their first coordination meeting here on Monday to discuss preparing a joint manifesto.
TDP General Secretary N. Lokesh and JSP chief and actor Pawan Kalyan led the talks for their respective parties and discussed in detail how the two parties can work together against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government.
The meeting was held in Rajahmundry to show solidarity with TDP supremo and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail in Skill Development Corporation case.
Pawan Kalyan said Naidu was illegally arrested and imprisoned and being denied bail on technical grounds.
Stating that all sections of people were suffering under the YSRCP rule, he said the time has come to throw it out of power. The JSP leader reiterated that he is working to avoid a split of anti-YSRCP votes.
Pawan Kalyan remarked that the state has been infected by a virus called YSRCP and to remove this virus, the state needs the TDP-JSP vaccine.
After meeting Naidu in jail last month Pawan Kalyan had announced that his JSP will contest the coming elections in alliance with the TDP.
Lokesh said that they will announce a joint action plan on November 1.
Both the parties will jointly review the irregularities in voters’ list at the field level. He said the TDP and JSP will launch a campaign with the declaration of their joint manifesto.
The TDP leader said the meeting passed three resolutions. The meeting condemned Naidu’s arrest. In another resolution, the two parties vowed to protect people from the atrocious rule of YSRCP. The meeting also passed a resolution to work together for the state’s development.
