Berhampur: A TPSODL (TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited) employee covered 540 km on a bicycle to spread awareness on electrical safety.
Meet Saumya Ranjan Lenka, team leader (Project), started the ‘Safety Awareness Journey’ on October 20 from Malkangiri to Berhampur. The campaign is a part of the company’s ‘Zero Harm Mission’.
The entire TPSODL family welcomed Lenka for his successful journey. On his arrival, TPSODL organised an appreciation ceremony at the corporate office in Berhampur. Amit Garg, the Chief Executive Officer, applauded his efforts in spreading safety awareness.
Lenka shared his experience with other employees during the ceremony. “We all need to prioritize electrical safety. I started the journey with an aim to spread Electrical Safety awareness. During the journey, I met the employees and people from various walks of life and made them aware. By giving priority to electrical safety, we can build a safer and more aware society. I am proud to be a part of this effort”, Lenka said.
The purpose of the journey was to raise awareness about electrical safety among the common masses, employees and consumers. The journey took place during the festive season. The cycle awareness journey has been successful in conveying safety messages in almost all towns, 200 hundred villages across five circles of TPSODL.
