Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ scheme in the districts of Balasore and Bolangir through the virtual platform. Each panchayat will get Rs 50 lakh.
Rs 178 crore has been sanctioned under the scheme for eight assembly constituencies of Balasore district. These assembly constituencies are Remuna, Bhograi, Jaleswar, Balasore, Simulia, Basta, Soro and Nilagiri. A total of 4465 projects will be implemented in 356 gram panchayats in the 12 blocks of these assembly constituencies.
Similarly, Rs 158.50 cr has been sanctioned for five assembly constituencies of Bolangir district. These constituencies are – Bolangir, Titilagarh, Patnagarh, Kantabanji and Loisinga. As many as 3911 projects will be implemented in 317 gram panchayats under 14 blocks of these constituencies.
Under this scheme, the cultural base of Odisha will be strengthened through the promotion of Jagannath culture in every panchayat, development of every place of worship in addition to the development of digital infrastructure. This will be the base for building an aspiring Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said, “promotion of culture and improvement of modern infrastructure will take our villages to the peak of development. From our strong cultural foundation to reach the vast horizon of modern science, new Odisha will spread its wings further and reach new heights and we shall build new Odisha, Nabin Odisha. Each village of the State will move forward on the path of development with the identity of a new Odisha. Development of all villages is our aim. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed of development, education and health.
Odisha is the land of Jagannath. Universal love, peace, harmony, equality and service is the message of Jagannath culture. It is based on inclusiveness and embraces everyone irrespective of caste and community. Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme will preserve Jagannath culture in each village. Every place of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be preserved. Preservation and protection of these cultural and heritage sites is essential for our future generations.”
The Chief Minister pointed out that the development of digital infrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of this scheme.
He said that villages will get internet connectivity, science parks, skill development centres, work hubs and banking facilities.
“Primary schools will be also included in this scheme. It will bring immense opportunities to our youths, women, farmers and students and will further brighten the identity of Odisha as a modern, strong, progressive and culturally aware state,” he added.
The Chief Minister sought everyone’s cooperation for the successful implementation of Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme while expressing that it will strengthen our infrastructure for an aspirational Odisha.
A large number of people took part in the programme organized on this occasion in the 8 constituencies of Balasore district and 5 constituencies of Balangir district.
5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian coordinated the event and said that the transformation programme has instilled new vigour among the people.
Pandian said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to bring transformation in all villages through ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’.
Rs 7.39 crore has been sanctioned for 66 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Remuna constituency of Balasore district.
Along with this, Rs 23.15 crore has been sanctioned for 6 important projects after Chief Minister’s office’s visit to the district.
These include the Remuna Multipurpose Community Hall, the restoration of the Kontiachora River, the beautification of the Khirachora Gopinath Temple and the transformation of some schools and colleges. Similarly, Rs 7.19 crore has been sanctioned for 53 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Bhograi Constituency.
Along with this, Rs 8.65 crore has been sanctioned for 6 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include the beautification of the famous Chandaneswar Temple, the improvement of the Ransinghpur Ashram School, the beautification of the Basuli Ma Temple, and transformation of the Rural Institute of Higher Studies College. Similarly, Rs 10.36 crore has been sanctioned for 122 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Jaleswar constituency. Along with this, Rs 5.58 crore have been sanctioned for 4 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. Among them, is a skating ring for the development of sports in Jaleswar town. This will add a new chapter in the development of sports in the district. In addition to this, Siddeshwar College and Plus II college, Dinakrishna College and Plus II college and Jaleswar Women’s College and Plus II college will be developed. Similarly, Rs 15.70 crore have been sanctioned for 90 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Soro Constituency. Along with this, Rs 19.92 crore has been sanctioned for 8 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include construction and modernization of Bahanaga High School and making Bahanaga Gram Panchayat a Model Panchayat, upgrading Bahanaga Primary Health Centre to ‘Ama Hospital’, along with two major bridges and three degree and Plus II colleges.
Rs 12.39 crore have been sanctioned for 127 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Basta Constituency. Along with this, Rs 107.54 crore has been sanctioned for 10 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include improvement of Baharda fish market, improvement of Jalaka drainage system, beautification of Dagar beach, bridges, schools and colleges. Rs 18.75 crore rupees have been sanctionefor 119 educational institutions and religious institutions under Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Balasore Constituency. Along with this, Rs 9.05 crore has been sanctioned for 5 important projects after district patrol of the Chief Minister’s office. These include the beautification of Chandipur Beach, Jhadeshwar Temple, Fakir Mohan College, Balangi College and Nilamani College.
Similarly, Rs 10.91 crore has been sanctioned for 101 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Nilagiri constituency. Along with this, Rs 28.76 crore have been sanctioned for 8 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include upgradation of the famous Panchalingeshwar Peeth, Nilagiri Risia Minor Irrigation Project, Khumukut Water Project, Nilgiri Jagannath Temple and some schools and colleges. Similarly, Rs 9.25 crore have been sanctioned for 88 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Simulia constituency.
Along with this, Rs 20.87 crore has been sanctioned for 12 important projects after district patrol of the Chief Minister’s office. These include a tourism center at Sindhua Dam, Kupari MSME Park, Kupari ST Hostel, several bridges and improvement of river banks at Simulia.
Similarly, Rs 11.20 crores have been sanctioned for 54 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Titilagarh constituency of Balangir district. Along with this, Rs 178.81 crore rupees have been sanctioned for 8 important projects after the district patrol of the Chief Minister’s office. These include Air Strip at Tusura, 2 Mega Lift projects, beautification of Tusura Samalai Temple and schools and colleges. Rs 14.57 crore have been sanctioned for 111 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Patnagarh constituency. Along with this, Rs 19.72 crore has been sanctioned for 5 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include some new projects in Hari Shankar temple development such as:- new entrance, check dam, culvert, police outpost etc., a new road in Khaprakhol and some colleges. Rs 15.55 crore have been sanctioned for 138 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Balangir constituency. Along with this, Rs 21.29 crore have been sanctioned for 10 important projects after visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include Maa Samalei’s Temple, Gopalji Temple, Pataneswari Temple, development of Kosala Kalamandal grounds, Chandili Hill Tourism Project and schools and colleges with Rajendra University, transformation of primary school in Lower Suktel Colony, upgradation of CNI Church in Balangir. Rs 11.20 crore have been sanctioned for 81 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Kantabanji Constituency. Along with this, Rs 6.50 crores have been sanctioned for 4 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include beautification of Ranipur Jharial Temple and upgrading of 3 degree colleges. Rs 11 crore have been sanctioned for 132 educational institutions and religious institutions under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Program in Loisinga Constituency. Along with this, Rs 8.38 crore has been sanctioned for 5 important projects after the visit of the Chief Minister’s office to the district. These include the Yogeshwar Temple, setting up a heritage center in memory of freedom fighter Majhi Mandhata and three degree colleges.
Ministers Pratap Keshari Dev, Ashwini Patra, Niranjan Pujari, and Tukuni Sahu, MLA Anant Das, MLA Nityananda Sahu, MLA Swarup Das, MLA Jyoti Prakash panigarahi, MLA Saroj Meher were present in the program. The president, members, block chairman, local leaders participated in the virtual discussion and expressed the opinion that a new era of development has arrived in the village.
They said that in the last 23 years, continuous development is going on in Odisha under the leadership and direction of the Chief Minister. They said that the map of development in Odisha has completely changed today. Due to the visit of the Chief Minister’s office, the development in the district level has improved and the problems that have been pending for many days have also been resolved. They said that this program of development will bring our villages at par with cities and will bring about a big change in the lifestyle of rural people like us.
