At that time, Tutu Nayak slapped her from her back and pushed her, she alleged. The media boom and her mobile phone slipped from her hands. Instead of picking up the phone and boom, Nayak laughed at her and went on, the journalist said.

“I am shocked by the behavior of Tutu Nayak. I don’t know why he showed such behaviour. I have a good relationship with him as a media person. I want appropriate action against him,” Rout said.

Who gave him such right to slap a working journalist?, Rout asked.

Meanwhile, Nayak tendered an apology. He said “I had no ill intention. I am sorry for what happened today”.
