Nuapada: Even before the people of Nuapada district in Odisha could breathe sigh a of relief after the capture of a man-eater leopard by the Forest Department staff on Saturday night, another leopard is reported to have been sighted in the locality on Sunday.
According to reports, the ‘second’ leopard was sighted near Kodapali village under Dharambandha police limits in Nuapada on Sunday morning.
On being informed about the incident, Forest Department officials visited the spot and took stock of the situation. They spotted pug marks of the animal in the area.
Meanwhile, the incident has triggered fresh fear among the people in and around Kodopali village in the district.
It is worth mentioning here that the Forest Department staff captured a man-eater leopard from Kodapali on Saturday night. After the big cat was spotted near a building in the village last night, a five-member team of the Forest Department captured the animal by laying a trap.
