Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha on November 27 and be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the ‘Boita Bandana Utsav’ at Paradip.
According to a Rashtrapati Bhawan communiqué, the President will participate in the Boita Bandana Utsav from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm on November 27.
The Boita Bandana Utsav marks Sadhavs’ (Odia traders) visit to Southeast Asian nations like Java, Borneo, Bali, and Sumatra centuries back for trade. The Paradip Port Trust celebrates this occasion every year.
The Paradip Port Trust authorities and Jagatsinghpur district administration have started preparations for Murmu’s visit after receiving the communication in this regard.
