Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, on Saturday released a book titled “Janmabhumira Joddhamane” (Warriors of the Motherland) penned by IAS officer Sangram Keshari Mohapatra.
The book traces the journey of Odisha from Kharvela to Biju Patnaik. It tells about the great personalities who have expanded the geographical territory of Odisha from Ganga to Godavari and in the modern day defined the geographical linguistic entity of the state and its international recognition.
It is a historical research book covering ancient, medieval and modern Odisha’s socio-economic and cultural journey. It contains many hitherto unknown facts about great personalities.
The book written in Odia language contains 150 pages and is priced at Rs 200.
It is published by Prachi Prakashani, Cuttack. It is an ideal reference book for college and school-going children.
