Bhubaneswar: The body of a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) in Raila village under Ghushuramala panchayat in Odisha’s Sambalpur district was found lying on the village road on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Dinabandhu Das and was posted at Redhakhol under Ghosaramal panchayat.
According to reports, Dinabandhu left home on Wednesday to inspect the progress of house construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and did not return home last night. Instead, his body was found lying on a road in Raila village.
Local villagers spotted the body and informed Redhakhol police about the incident. While the police have launched an investigation into the unnatural death, Dinabandu’s family has alleged that he has been murdered.
