Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved two Instream Storage Structures, Murlijhar project and Damodarpur Instream Storage Structure in Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj districts respectively.
Patnaik sanctioned a total of Rs 86.25 crore for these two projects. He sanctioned Rs 41.25 crores for Muralijhar project and Rs 45 crores for Damodarpur structure.
It is worth mentioning that 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V.K Pandian had visited Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj districts and received proposals from people for various projects. The Chief Minister approved the projects today as per the proposal of the people.
The two projects will cater to the needs of Bhawanipatna block in Kalahandi and Badasahi block in Mayurbhanj district.
The projects will help increase groundwater levels. These will also be helpful for drinking water projects, fish farming, and animal husbandry in the areas.
