34th Konark Festival Kicks Off Today

Konark: The six-day 34th Konark Mahotsav and International Sand Art Festival will kick off on Friday in an open-air auditorium. To mark the occasion, the Odisha Department of Tourism and the Basant Manjari Library here organised a rally from the world heritage Sun Temple to Chandrabhaga Beach.

Hundreds of students from local schools and colleges joined the 3-km run for the success of the world-famous festival.

The Konark Festival, jointly organised by the Odisha Department of Tourism and the Odissi Research Centre, will showcase stellar dance performances by renowned artists. The guests will also be able to witness some wonderful sand sculptures by artists from across the globe.
