College Student Ends Life By Setting Self Ablaze In Ganjam

Ganjam: A college student committed suicide by pouring petrol on her body inside her house in Betni village under Kotinda police limits of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Anita Goud. She was studying Plus II at the nearby Balipadar College.

According to reports, the student took the extreme step when no one was at home. Anita died on the spot.

On being informed, the Kotinda police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. While the police are yet to ascertain why the girl took such an extreme step, they have launched an investigation into the incident.
