Cold, Dry Weather To Prevail Across Odisha: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Dry weather prevailed in most parts of Odisha during the last 24 hours, while the minimum temperature plunged sharply with the onset of winter. The weather conditions are unlikely to change during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted in its midday bulletin on Wednesday.

Moderate to dense fog occurred at one or two places in Sundargarh, Koraput, and Kandhamal in interior Odisha. At the same time, the minimum temperatures (night temperatures) observed an appreciable fall in one or two places in north interior Odisha and no large change elsewhere in the state.

The highest maximum temperature of 31.4°C was recorded at Rayagada and the lowest minimum temperature of 9.6°C was recorded at Keonjhar in the plains of Odisha.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur in the morning at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Koraput.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.12.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 15.12.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur in the morning in one or two places in Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Koraput.
