Woman Electrocuted While Cleaning House In Sonepur

Sonepur: A woman died due to an electric shock while cleaning her house for Lakshmi Puja on Thursday. The incident occurred in Nadila village under Binika police limits in Odisha’s Sonepur district.

The deceased has been identified as Basan Naik (65) of Nadila village.

According to reports, the woman came in contact with a live electric wire during the cleaning work and received shock. She was rescued in a critical condition and rushed to Binika Community Health Centre, where she was declared dead by the doctors.

On being informed, Binika police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have also launched an investigation into the case.
