Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a farmer was crushed to death in a paddy threshing machine at Jirabadi village of Jagannathprasad police station in Ganjam district.
The farmer identified as Bulu Patra dies due to carelessness while harvesting paddy. He accidentally fell into the machine and was cut to pieces as the machine was running.
According to reports, a machine was being operated at Jirabadi for harvesting paddy. The leg of Bulu got stuck in the machine when he was operating it. The machine dragged him into inside and crushed him. As a result, his body was chopped into pieces.
The police reached the spot and recovered the chopped body parts for post-mortem.
