Bhubaneswar: Even as a cold wave is sweeping Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Wednesday that there will be no change in the weather conditions for the next two days. While the nights will be very cold, shallow to moderate fog will occur in several parts of the state affecting normal life.
Meanwhile, dense fog occurred at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Koraput, and Kandhamal districts of interior Odisha. Shallow fog occurred at one or two places in Kalahandi and Keonjhar districts of interior Odisha.
Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of south and interior Odisha and no large change was observed elsewhere. They were markedly below normal at one or two places in interior Odisha, appreciably below normal in a few places in coastal Odisha, and at a few places in Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 29.6°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 7.0°C was recorded at G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district of Odisha.
