Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia poet Ashutosh Parida will receive the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for his poetry collection ‘Aprastuta Mrutyu’
The Sahitya Akademi has announced his name for the prestigious literary honour.
The Akademi has announced the awards for 24 Indian languages for 2023. Parida has been selected to receive the award in Odia language.
Born in Kendrapara in 1946, Parida graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from REC (now NIT), Rourkela. He did his PhD from IIT- Kharagpur and was working as a scientist at the Bhubaneswar Regional Research Center (now Institute of Mineral and Materials Technology or IMMT).
In 1990, he also received Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award.
