Bhubaneswar: Extensive arrangements by the administrative machinery are underway for the inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama Project.
The process began on Thursday after inviting Lord Jagannath for the inauguration ceremony.
Following which a meeting of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) with the sevayats was held in Puri.
According to a decision at the meeting, 31 teams have been constituted for handing out invitations for the inaugural ceremony. Members of these teams will bifurcate in two parts from tomorrow (December 22) for handing out invitations. While 17 teams will hand out invitations outside the State 14 teams will hand out invitations inside the State.
The teams will start their work after handing out invitation to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on December 26.
The Srimandir Praikrama Projec will be inaugurated on January 17. To begin with Lord Jagannath was the first to be invited for the inaugural ceremony.The SJTA Chief Administrator Ranjan Kumar Das, five members of the temple managing committee and senior sevayats carrying the invitation card went to the Shree Jagannath Temple in procession from the SJTA office. They offered the invitation card at the lotus feet of Lord Jagannath.
After inviting Lord Jagannath, they offered invitation cards to Lord Nrusingha, Maa Bimala, Maa Mangala and lastly to Panchu Pandav.
Jagannat temples and individuals inside the country and abroad will be invited for the inauguration ceremony.
Erstwhile, King of Nepal among others will be also invited for the ceremony. A special kit will be presented along with the invitation card.
