Man Surrenders Before Police After Killing Brother In Kalahandi Village

Bhawanipatna: In a bizarre incident, a man reportedly killed his younger brother at Bahadur Bagicha Pada under Bhawanipatna Town police limits in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Sunday late at night.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Bag.

According to reports, Mahendra Bag stabbed his younger brother Ganesh Bag with a screwdriver repeatedly on the chest and stomach following a heated argument late on Sunday night. Hearing the cries of Ganesh, family members rushed him to the Kalahandi district headquarters hospital (DHH). Ganesh breathed his last while under treatment yesterday night.

The Bhawanipatna Town police arrested the accused Mahendra on Monday morning when he went to surrender before the police. The police have initiated a probe into the incident.
