Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today extended the tenure of Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena by six months. He will continue to remain in the helm of Odisha Administration till June 30, 2024.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Department of General Administration and Public Grievance.
“Department of Personal and Training, ministry of Personal and government of India, th service of Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS (PR-1989), chief secretary, Odisha, is hereby extended for a period of six months from 01.01.2024 to 30.06. 2024,” the notification read.
Jena was supposed to superannuate on December 31.
The State government had appointed the 1989-batch IAS officer as the chief secretary in February 2023.
Jena had served the State in various top administrative positions in the State.
