Bhubaneswar: To make faster disposal of work and enhance efficiency, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) directed its employees to reach the office on time failing which they would face salary cut.
They have been asked to reach the office between 9.45 am and 10.15 am within 15 minutes grace time.
Anyone’s arrival beyond 10.20 am will be considered absent or No work No pay, a BMC order stated.
“All Staffs whether Regular, DLR, CLR, Contractual, Outsourcing and Consultants working within Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation shall ensure reaching the office within 09:45 A.M – 10:15 A.M on each working day positively. Any delay from the scheduled time beyond 15 minutes i.e. after 10:30 A.M shall be marked as “ABSENT” and treated as “No Work No Pay”,” the official order issued by the civic body read.
It further said that all officials of the State government should follow core fundamentals of 5T as part of their policy towards sustainable and inclusive development. As ‘Time’ is one of the key parameters of 5T fundamentals, it is imperative for all to ensure arrival to the workplace within official time, BMC stated.
Separate officers in-charge of different floors in the office building have been asked to verify the attendance of the staff and report to the Commissioner.
