Bhubaneswar: Darshan of the Holy Trinity in Puri Jagannath Temple will be restricted for four hours on Wednesday for the Banakalagi Niti. Public darshan will be closed from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm after the end of the second vog at the vog mandap. The Banakalagi Niti is a highly secret ritual and hence darshan of the deities at the Jagannath Temple is restricted during this period.

The door of Jaya Vijaya will be closed for this ritual. After the evening vog is over, the Datta Mahapatra will decorate the idols with prasadhan prepared from natural resources. The Lord’s face will be painted with traditional colors like Hingul, green, musk, red, white, and black.
