Dhenkanal: The rogue elephant that shifted from the elephant rescue center at Kapilash Zoo in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Saturday died during treatment on Saturday night.
It is worth mentioning here that for the last few days, this rogue elephant had unleashed a reign of terror in the Boudh, Angul, and Dhenkanal districts of Odisha killing people and destroying properties. It was captured following joint efforts of the Forest Department staff and security forces, tranquilized, and transported to the Kapilash Zoo amid tight security on Saturday.
After reaching the rescue center in the zoo, the elephant was undergoing treatment by veterinary doctors. However, it breathed its last on Sunday morning.
