Basta: Mystery shrouds the death of a junior engineer in the Baliapal block of Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday. The body of the junior engineer (JE), identified as Sanjay Kumar Nayak, was found lying on the floor in his government quarters under Baliapal. Nayak was employed with the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS) division.
According to reports, Nayak was spotted by his subordinates on Sunday morning. They informed the local police and rushed him to Baliapal Community Health Center (CHC) in critical condition, where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
While Nayak’s subordinate staff said that they broke into his house this morning as the main door of the house was locked from inside, the police said that they were trying to ascertain why the junior engineer took the extreme step.
