Bhubaneswar: Odia film director Sudhakar Basant has been critically injured in a road accident. According to reports, the car he was travelling by rammed against a cement-laden truck stationary from behind near Manguli Square in the Choudwar area of Odisha’s Cuttack district, early Sunday morning.
While Basant and the driver sustained critical injuries, the car was severely mangled under the impact of the collision. The director and the driver were stuck inside the damaged vehicle for a while.
On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the two from the mangled vehicle. The duo has been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
