Bhubaneswar: The State Government has taken initiative to provide a safe, secure accommodation to the women workers near Industrial areas and Seafood Processing sector has the potential to create employment in larger scale.
It is envisaged that Working Women’s Hostel will be developed in the park along with social and community infrastructure. The Worker’s Hostel at seafood park Deras, Khordha will cater to 6952 nos of women workers and will ensure safety, productivity environment, cost saving and less turnaround time for units, less travel time to work.
The State Cabinet today approved the turnkey tender of the project construction of 6952 bedded working women’s hostel at seafood park Deras, Khordha at an estimated cost of Rs 329.00 crore .It is being funded by SIDBI and will be executed in 27 months.
