State Govt Declares School & College Holiday On Jan 27 For SAMALEI Project Inauguration

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Thursday declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the state on January 27 on the occasion of the inauguration of the SAMALEI project in Sambalpur district.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to inaugurate the Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economy Initiatives (SAMALEI) project on January 27.

The six-day rituals and yagna ahead of the inauguration started on Monday. The rituals will end with the women in Sambalpur and outside will take out a Kalash Yatra on January 26.

The Goddess in Samaleswari Temple will be bathed with the holy water brought during the Yatra on the occasion of the inauguration.
